Lexington Senior High and athletic director Ronnie Beverly were honored by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.

The high school athletic department was awarded the prestigious NCHSAA Commissioner’s Cup for its service to the community. In addition, Beverly was honored as NCHSAA athletic director of the year.



During its Annual Day of Service, high school students worked to rake, clean and paint at Path of Hope. Students also worked to build a ramp for a 5-year-old boy who has cerebral palsy.

The athletic department received a trophy and $1,000
